SYLVIA EKAMMA SHINABA

SYLVIA EKAMMA SHINABA (Nee Ekpe), born on the 8^th day of August 1960, attended Government Primary School, Calabar, Cornelia Connelly College (C.C.C) Uyo, Hope Waddle Training Institute, Calabar, Kirklands College, Selsey, West Sussex, U. K; Brunel University, Middlesex, U. K. and Nigeria Law School. She was called to Bar on the 14^th day of October 1986. An active Litigator and Notary Public, Sylvia Shinaba manages the firm, Agabi, Shinaba, Ogon & Co. She had her legal internship with the Firm of Solicitors, Enever Freeman & Co., Ruislip, U. K as well as Kehinde Sofola & Co. After her call to Bar she worked for the Firm, Kehinde Sofola & Co for over 7 years before starting the Partnership. She holds various leadership positions in both Civic and Religious organizations. She is the current Chairperson of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Nigeria, Lagos State Branch, the Assessor for the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and recently appointed as a member of the Census Tribunal ‘A’ 2008
